o1. How should we dress for our family session?

I recommend dressing in earthy tones such as browns, greens, and neutrals. These colors tend to create a harmonious and natural aesthetic, which is ideal for creating a grounded and cohesive appearance. To maintain focus on the subject, we suggest limiting patterns, as bold or busy designs can distract from the overall composition. Subtle, solid colors or minimal patterns work best to ensure a polished and professional look.

o2. What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?


The best time to have a newborn photoshoot is typically within the first 10 to 14 days of life. During this period, babies are still very sleepy and can be posed more easily, which results in the soft, curled up newborn look that many parents love. Additionally, they’re often still in the “newborn” stage, which captures their tiny features and delicate expressions perfectly.

o3. When will I get my pictures back?

Typically, it will take 10 business days to receive your gallery, but depending on the season, it may take a maximum of 3 weeks. For wedding galleries, my turnaround time is 8-10 weeks.

o4. Where are you based and do you travel?

Travel within 30 minutes of Woodstock, Illinois is included in all session pricing. For locations beyond 30 minutes, a travel fee will apply based on total round trip travel time:

  • 31 - 60 minutes: $50
  • 61 - 90 minutes: $100
  • 91 - 120 minutes: $150
  • 120+ minutes: Custom quote
